I am a mother of three children, ages 5, 3 & 1. I used the Northern Rivers Family Care Centre with my two eldest children and found the service invaluable.

All new mums need as much assistance as possible as the immediate family role is slowly diminishing. I have no family support in this area and found it really difficult without my mum's advice, and this is where the Family Care Centre stepped in.

If there is a problem, or an uncertainty within the new family that has evolved from the birth of the child, then help is needed. I would not have travelled to Brisbane to gain this support, so to have this local service was extremely important.

The health of tomorrow's mother is imperative. We want a future of happy parents who feel they can handle everything, not stumble from one sleepless night to the next where the future seems a world away.

This service bridges the gap from uncertainty to "I can do this".
